The HomeGrown Live Music Festival returns Saturday May 3rd with over 140 musical performers at 16 Kingston venues. The proceeds will be in support of Kingston’s own musical instrument lending library, Joe’s Music Mill
Joes Music Mill puts these funds to work in the community helping unlock the potential and benefits that music can bring to the lives of people and to their communities by putting the ability to play music into their hands.
Since 2000, Joe’s Music Mill has offered a diverse library of quality musical instruments that span across all musical styles and tastes. Their focus is to make musical instruments accessible to everyone in Kingston who wants them. They enable that through low-cost memberships, mentorship, and education programs in schools and the community.
The HomeGrown Live Music Festival and its' benefit to Joe’s Music Mill cannot be overstated. By bringing together Kingston’s vibrant music community for a day of unsurpassed performances and celebration, it goes very far in ensuring that this vibrancy continues well into the future. Not just in music, but the positive outcomes that exposure to music and music education can achieve.
