North America's best Geocachers converge on L&A!

The Discover L&A MEGA Geocaching event is bringing visitors from across North America and around the world to Lennox and Addington County this weekend. Events are scheduled until August 18th at various locations across the county.

Rob Plumley, L&A Community Development Officer explained what geocaching is for us.

This year is the MEGA Geocaching Event's 10th anniversary. MEGA means more than 500 people are coming, but the county is expecting over 1000.

Plumley says there's lots planned for the event.

Tomorrow (Saturday) from 8 am to 4 pm, the DLA MEGA Saturday event at the Museum of L&A in Napanee will include games, draws, and activities.

Geocachers can explore Lennox & Addington before returning by 4 pm for prizes, closing remarks, and a group photo. Finally, on Sunday at 9 am, participants will take part in the CITO community clean-up at Springside Park in Napanee, continuing a MEGA tradition.

Plumley says this weekend's events are open to everyone, whether you're a geocacher or not.
