Napanee man's love of hockey bursts through the border
One Canadian man is doing his part to make hockey an even more international language of sport.
Greater Napanee's Darryl Morey has turned his trips to Cuba into an opportunity to spread some puck love. He says he regularly brings Canadian themed gifts as a thank you to his hosts for their hospitality.
That hockey puck is now proudly on display in his host's home. Morey stays connected with them through text, often sharing videos of his favourite team.
They've now become fans and even listen to games online now, with the help of a bilingual friend.
Morey says for his next trip down this November, he's collected a few sticks to bring, to start a game of road hockey.
