Sexual health services made easy: Clinics, free kits, and expert advice available now

The South East Health Unit is marking Sexual Health and Reproductive Health Week, now rebranded as SexPlus Week by Action Canada.

The new theme encourages open conversations about sexual health while challenging misinformation and breaking down barriers.

Deputy Medical Officer of Health Dr. Linna Li says sexual health is a key part of overall well-being.

Jennifer Adams, Manager of Clinical Services says the agency’s sexual health clinics provide low-cost birth control, free condoms, pregnancy testing, and STI treatment at no cost.

Adams says misinformation often discourages people from seeking care.

Trusted resources, including social media and direct support from public health nurses, are available to help as well.
