The Kingston Humane Society is marking 140 years serving our community.
Executive Director Gord Hunter says they've made it as long as they have thanks to their volunteers, and they're always looking for fosters.
Fosters care for the pets in their own home. They allow the Humane Society to increase the number of animals they can help.
One thing he likes to make known is that fosters aren't on the hook for any expenses associated with the animals.
Hunter says having the soon to be pets in foster homes lets them show their true colours.
