What's good in Kingston

Get set for Bladder Cancer Canada Awareness - 2024 "Canada Walks - Kingston"

Bladder Cancer Canada Awareness -
2024 "Canada Walks - Kingston" walk takes place Saturday at MacDonald Park beginning at 9am.

It is once again being led by the Queen's University Bladder Cancer Club.

Bladder cancer survivor and peer support volunteer Gerry Ross tells KingstonDaily.ca says the money is well-used by the cause.

Ross says it gets underway at nine at the park. A busy day then begins with guest speakers Guest Speakers MP Mark Gerretsen, Dr, Andrew Craig of the Sinclair Cancer Research Centre.

Ross says the money raised in Kingston's walk, and the 16 other across Canada will help thousands get treatment for this stubborn form of the disease.

Ross says all are welcome to take part. Last year more than 50 joined them at the park. Learn more through the Bladder Cancer Canada Awareness - Kingston Facebook page, found here. You can pre-register for the walk here
