KFR spreads safety message during Fire Prevention Week
Fire Prevention Week is underway across Canada and as we hear from Chief Fire Prevention Officer with Kingston Fire and Rescue, Ted Posadowski, in our classrooms too.
This year's theme is "Smoke Alarms - Make them work for you." That's one of the key messages they share with students of all ages, and residents across the city.
Posadowski says they'll be taking their act on the road to spread the word about smoke and CO detectors.
There are a couple special events taking place this week too, there's the special Senior's Event coming up on Wednesday at City Hall and an Open House at Station 3 of Gore Rd on Saturday.
