Greenwood Medical Centre is expanding its roster
Greenwood Medical Centre, also known as the East End Health Home, is set to roster 1,000 Kingston East End residents who currently lack a primary care provider. The initiative kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, with the attachment of 600 individuals.
Dr. Justyna Nowak expressed enthusiasm about welcoming more patients to the centre, emphasizing the importance of providing high-quality care close to home. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 804 John Marks Avenue.
Residents within the specified geographic boundaries who do not have a family doctor are encouraged to attend. A government-issued ID with proof of address is required, and all household members over 16 must be present.
This effort is part of a broader plan to ensure primary care access for all Kingston East End residents. The expansion builds on previous efforts, which attached 500 people earlier this year.
