Region's new Deputy Medical Officer of Health weighs in
Three Ontario public health units, including ours, are merging to form South East Public Health on New Year's Day.
KFL&A and Hastings Prince Edward Public Health will merge with the Leeds Grenville and Lanark Health Unit.
Current Leeds Greenville and Lanark District Health Unit Medical Officer of Health Dr. Linna Li is excited.
Dr. Li says all involved are looking forward to it.
Li will become a Deputy Medical Officer of Health in the new organization.
The new regional agency will serve over 550,000 residents and combine the best of each organization.
