Local businesses and non-profits can save big
The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce reminds employers that the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) 2025 Call for Applications closes December 19, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time). With the holidays fast approaching, now is the time to apply for funding to hire youth for summer positions.
The CSJ program aims to support 70,000 quality youth jobs for the 2025 summer season. Non-profit employers can receive a wage subsidy up to 100% of the minimum wage, while public and private sector employers are eligible for up to 50%.
The funding supports jobs from April 21 to August 30, 2025, and encourages employers to offer work experiences that help youth develop skills and respond to national and local priorities.
Remember to read the Applicant Guide. It contains detailed information about the application process, including how you can demonstrate the quality of your proposed job placement(s) and practical information on how to prepare for your application.
Should you have any questions about CSJ 2025 or the application process after reading the guide, please do not hesitate to contact Service Canada.
