Residents of the Westbrook neighborhood in Kingston's west end have been advised to boil their water following a water main break earlier on Sunday.
In a notice to customers, Utilities Kingston told customers connected to the city's municipal drinking water system, "The Ministry of Health has issued a boil water advisory for the Westbrook area until further notice. Affected customers should use an alternate source of drinking water or bring water to a rapid rolling boil for at least one minute before use."
This advisory was issued by KFL&A Public Health in consultation with the Ministry and Utilities Kingston.
Residents are urged to comply with the advisory to ensure their safety.
The City will provide updates as the situation progresses.
