A little neighbourly encouragement!
The City of Kingston is encouraging residents to unite through the Neighbourhood Activation Fund.
The program supports local events, such as block parties and pop-up movie nights, to strengthen community connections. Launched as a pilot in spring 2023, the fund provides in-kind support for eligible costs like insurance and facility bookings.
Funding is available for three types of events: street-level events, including block parties, can receive up to $500; community-led neighbourhood events can get up to $1,500; and pop-up movie nights can access up to $2,500.
Residents are invited to apply for funding by completing the application form, with notification provided within 15 business days.
