Over half of Ontario drivers have witnessed a close-call collision or traffic violation caused by distracted driving
Distracted driving is still a major concern for a lot of drivers right across the province.
A recent survey done by the CAA found 66 per cent of respondents have witnessed a close-call collision or traffic violation caused by distracted driving.
The survey also found that 42 per cent of drivers stated that they had met the criteria for being distracted drivers in the past, with two per cent admitting to having been charged.
Community Relations Consultant Michael Stewart adds the findings underscore the need for continued vigilance and education on road safety.
A big tip to avoid distracted driving, it's recommended you turn off your phone or switch it to silent mode before you get in the car.
