Kingston jewelry store hit by $25,000 theft in distraction scheme
A jewelry store in downtown Kingston was targeted in a distraction theft.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. on July 15th, four suspects entered the store and carried out a coordinated scheme to steal around $25,000 worth of jewelry.
The theft involved three suspects distracting the store employee, while the fourth suspect took the opportunity to remove the jewelry from behind a desk or counter. The suspects executed the plan swiftly, leaving the store with the stolen items at around 6:33 p.m. They were last seen walking along King Street East, heading from Princess Street towards Queen Street.
