Crash on the 401 leads to charges for 33-year-old man
The Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged a driver with impaired driving-related offences following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 401.
The incident occurred on July 24th, just after 8:00 a.m., in Loyalist Township.
Officers responded to the scene and, after speaking with the drivers involved, arrested one driver. The individual was transported to the detachment for further testing. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the collision.
William Griffith, 33, of Grande Prairie, Alberta, has been charged with three offences: operation while impaired by alcohol, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), and dangerous operation.
Griffith was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on August 20th.
