OPP have not released details
A fatal incident occurred at the Township of Stone Mills Fire Hall in Tamworth on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024.
The Township confirmed that one person died, and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have completed their investigation at the scene.
In the meantime, fire services will operate from alternative locations to ensure uninterrupted emergency response in the area.
Details about the identity of the deceased have not yet been released as officials notify the next of kin.
Stone Mills Township Council and staff expressed their deepest condolences to the family and friends affected by the loss.
