Kingston F&R responds
A fire caused extensive damage to a home on Florida Road on October 7th at 2:20 p.m.
Kingston Fire and Rescue responded promptly, deploying crews from multiple stations to the scene.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the majority of the flames upon arrival and successfully contained the fire to the attic.
However, due to the extensive damage, the exact cause of the fire remains undetermined. Early estimates suggest that the damage could reach approximately $350,000.
Tragically, a family dog lost its life in the fire, but no other injuries have been reported.
Kingston Fire and Rescue returned later in the day to address hotspots and ensure the area was safe.
