Ford to able-bodied yet idle workers - "Get off your A-S-S"

Comments on encampments too

At a recent infrastructure announcement in Coburg, Premier Doug Ford had some choice words for able bodied people who aren't working.

The comments were in response to a question by MBC news which asked how the up $25M in water infrastructure cash for Cobourg would affect the local housing waitlist.

The premier did not address any connection.

Ford also said the province would challenge a potentially precedent-setting Waterloo court ruling allowing homeless encampments on Crown land. No doubt, Kingston politicians and social service providers have taken note.

He stated, "You can’t have people setting up encampments in beautiful neighbourhoods, you just can’t do it. It destroys the neighbourhoods."
