Frontenacs trade Caleb Malhotra to Bulldogs for picks

Malhotra chose not to attend the Frontenacs' training camp

The Kingston Frontenacs have traded the rights to forward Caleb Malhotra to the Brantford Bulldogs. In return, Kingston will receive multiple OHL Priority selections, including a second-round pick in 2026 from the Flint Firebirds and several conditional picks in 2028 from Brantford.

Malhotra, who was selected 8th overall in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection, chose not to attend the Frontenacs' training camp. Instead, he joined the Chilliwack Chiefs of the BCHL. Malhotra has since committed to playing for Boston University in the NCAA.

In addition to Malhotra, Brantford will receive Kingston’s 2028 second-round pick. The trade is expected to benefit Kingston in future drafts, giving them the opportunity to build for upcoming seasons. The Frontenacs look to move forward with these added selections.
