Gonna make you sweat - another hot one on tap

Ways to beat the heat in Kingston

We're looking at highs across the region into the high 30's, and that KFLA reminding you to keep hydrated.

Don’t wait until you feel thirsty to drink water.

They say if you're a reusable water bottle user look for a blue "W" decal in the window of participating businesses to fill your reusable bottle often with safe, reliable tap water.

Also, remember to check on neighbours to make sure they're okay, especially the elderly and people with chronic illnesses.

If you don't have air conditioning, try to get to a public space that does, like the mall, grocery, or box store.

Make sure you keep your curtains closed to keep the sun out. You can also take a cool shower to lower your body temperature. Even a cool foot bath can be a big relief.

If you start to feel the effects of the heat through excessive or no sweating, headaches, blurry vision, or nausea, seek medical help right away.
