Working to ensure members are armed with knowledge and assistance
The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce is watching the trade situation between Canada and the US very closely and working to help its members.
CEO Karen Cross tells KingstonDaily.ca says they want to make sure that their members have the latest information, and they do too.
Like others, Cross is encouraging the general public to shop local, and keep consumer dollars in the community when possible.
Cross says the relationship aspect of the transaction with local business is a key component, that has been lost in some cases mainly through shopping online.
Cross adds our neighbours running the businesses depend on local consumers to help pay their bills and support their families.
