Matthew Grant is calling for changes
Chief Administrative Officer Matthew Grant is calling for changes to improve efficiency in the Town’s operations.
The Kingstonist.com reports Grant, who started his role in June 2024, reviewed the Town’s structure and found areas needing improvement, including better financial planning and stronger communication.
Grant’s findings will be presented at the regular Council meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 8. His report outlines several key priorities, such as improving corporate transparency, empowering citizens, and reducing duplication of resources. He also recommends centralizing staff and upgrading facilities to enhance service delivery.
The CAO believes the Town is positioned for sustainable growth but warns its financial capacity is “strained.” He suggests prioritizing resources toward long-term needs like fleet and equipment upgrades.
Grant hopes these changes will break down silos within the organization and ensure that Greater Napanee is ready to face future challenges and opportunities.
The meeting will be held at Town Hall and is open to the public.
