Greater Napanee teen charged after knife threats

Kept victims held in quarry

An 18-year-old male from Greater Napanee faces serious charges after two female youths reported being threatened at knifepoint on November 9, 2024.

Lennox and Addington County OPP say the incident began shortly after 10 p.m. at a local quarry. 

According to police, the two youths were followed to a second location, where they were again threatened and not allowed to leave. Both youths eventually escaped and contacted police.

After investigating, officers charged Cole Eves, 18, of Greater Napanee with multiple offences. Charges include two counts each of forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats to damage property. Eves also faces charges of wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Eves is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 14, 2025.
