Hanson Memorial parking structure's makeover continues

Watch for rotating spot closures

The Hanson Memorial Parking Structure on Brock Street, just west of Wellington Street, is currently undergoing a major restoration.

The project, which began recently  involves routine structural maintenance, repainting, replacement of waterproofing materials, and upgrades to the building's mechanical and electrical systems. The work is expected to finish by late December 2024.

To minimize disruption, the restoration will be completed in phases, allowing the parking structure to remain open to the public.

At most, only 50% of the 271 parking spaces will be closed at any given time.

For those needing alternative parking, spaces are available at the Chown Memorial and Robert Bruce Memorial garages, located two blocks west.

The improvements aim to enhance the safety and functionality of the parking facility for all users.
