Conservatives plan to continue efforts to topple government
The Opposition Conservatives plan to continues tabling non-confidence motions in an effort to bring down the Liberal government.
The Liberals survived a non-confidence vote this afternoon, and last Wednesday in the House of Commons brought forward by the Conservatives.
Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman said she was not entirely surprised, albeit disappointed.
She noted that after 9 years of the NDP-Liberal government, that it seems Canada's promise is continuously being broken.
"Violent crime was soared by 50%, the cost of rent, down payments and mortgage payments have all doubled, and the inflationary spending has forced the Bank of Canada to increase interest rates at the fastest pace in Canadian History."
The motions will continue, says the MP.
If a non-confidence motion is passed, Kramp-Neuman says she'd be ready for an election.
Last week's motion was defeated by a vote of 211 to 120.
