Navy Exercise Brings Over 100 Sailors to Kingston
More than 100 Royal Canadian Navy personnel will arrive in Kingston this weekend for Exercise Rideau Guard 2024.
The two-day event, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, will help sailors improve their emergency response skills while working with small boats.
In addition to hands-on training, teams will manage logistics, supplies, meals, pay, and operations.
Sub-Lt. Rosa Gutierrez of HMCS Cataraqui says the exercise offers valuable cross-unit training and a chance for naval reservists to enhance their seamanship skills.
The exercise aims to boost teamwork and readiness among participants.
