Kingston man faces multiple charges after home invasions in Kingston and Wolfe Island

Twenty-nine year old Kurtis Scouten, has not been released despite being granted bail on March 7, 2025, after being charged with two home invasion robberies in Kingston and Wolfe Island.

Scouten appeared in Kingston bail court by video from Quinte Detention Centre, where Justice of the Peace Ruth Campbell addressed delays in meeting release conditions. Scouten had been granted bail on February 24, but the removal of weapons from his sureties' home and the placement of a GPS monitor had not been completed.

Scouten faces multiple charges, including assault with a weapon, break and enter, and using an imitation firearm. The charges stem from two separate home invasions in August and September 2024, where victims were assaulted but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

He is set to return to court in April 2025 for an update on his release conditions.
