Indigenous housing project set to welcome families

Part of ongoing housing efforts in Kingston

Four Indigenous families will now have a place to call home beginning in January of next year. A new affordable housing unit was opened Wednesday morning located at 255 Yonge Street in Kingston. Several local dignitaries were on hand. Councilor for the Portsmouth District Don Amos gave his thoughts

Amos was particularly excited about the addition of the fourth unit.

Amos talks about when the families will be moving in.

Each unit features two bedrooms and one bathroom and is located at 255 Yonge Street in Kingston. Representatives were on hand from Tipi Moza for a drum ceremony. Construction was completed by Caraco. Amos said he saw their progress on a weekly basis and was very pleased.

With a project like this, there is a long list of people to thank.
