Student was found Tuesday
Military police are looking into the death of a student at the Royal Military College (RMC) in Kingston, Ont. The student was found on campus Tuesday morning.
The Department of National Defence (DND) says the investigation is being conducted with support from the coroner, but no further details have been released.
In a statement, DND say their thoughts are with the family, friends, and colleagues and confirmed that next-of-kin have been informed.
The family has asked for privacy during this difficult time. DND is asking the public to honour that request.
RMC is a military university offering undergraduate programs in Social Sciences, Humanities, Science, and Engineering. It plays a key role in training future Canadian military leaders.
The DND says they are offering support to the RMC community and have asked anyone with information to contact authorities.
The investigation continues and no further information is being provided at this time.
