Patients urged to plan for delays
Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) is rolling out a new electronic medical record system this month to improve healthcare delivery across the region.
While the transition is expected to be smooth for most patients, KHSC advises visitors to prepare for minor delays, especially in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care Clinic. Patients with clinic appointments are encouraged to follow the arrival times indicated on their appointment slips.
The changes aim to enhance patient care, but KHSC acknowledges that staff may need time to adjust to the new system.
To avoid unnecessary waits, community members are encouraged to explore alternative care options listed at RightPlaceRightCare.ca.
KHSC appreciates the public’s patience during this adjustment period as they take steps toward modernizing healthcare in Kingston and surrounding areas.
