Volunteers needed for early training and socialization
Kingston 4 Paws (K4Paws) is asking for help from Kingston and Ottawa residents to raise puppies that will become life-changing service dogs.
For 10 years, K4Paws has provided trained service dogs to people with autism, PTSD, physical challenges, and mental health conditions. These dogs help individuals gain independence, confidence, and safety.
The organization is now looking for volunteer puppy raisers to provide early training and socialization for 15-20 months. Volunteers take puppies everywhere—work, stores, appointments, even hockey games. No experience is required, and K4Paws covers food, equipment, and vet costs.
Longtime volunteers say raising puppies is both rewarding and emotional, as they help transform lives.
A virtual information session is scheduled for March 20, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. To register or learn more, visit www.k4paws.ca or email info@k4paws.ca.
