Kingston-area man arrested after indecent acts in Westport

Charges include harassment too

A 37-year-old man has been arrested following alarming incidents in the Westport area, according to the Leeds County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

Since July, the suspect allegedly harassed women in the community, with multiple reports surfacing in mid-September. Witnesses said the man committed indecent acts in a parked car at a gas station and also followed women.

On October 20, police charged Luc Beauclair of Perth Road near Sydenham Lake with three counts of committing an indecent act in a public place and criminal harassment.

He remains in custody, with a bail hearing scheduled for October 29 in Brockville.

The OPP is still investigating and encourages any additional victims to come forward.
