Kingston gears up for first-ever Climate Expo

Free events for the entire family

Kingston is hosting its first Kingston Climate Expo from Oct. 3 to 20, 2024. The event, presented by Utilities Kingston, will feature free, interactive activities focused on climate change.

Highlights include electric vehicle test drives at the INVISTA Centre and a Climate Expo Showcase at 945 Princess St. on Oct. 5.

The showcase will feature community booths, a low-carbon building tour, and an eco-themed storytime for kids.

Additional events include a business presentation on low-carbon solutions on Oct. 4 and a panel on women in STEM on Oct. 10. Students can also participate in the "Energy Treasure Hunt Workshop" from Oct. 15 to 18 to learn about reducing energy waste at home.

Utilities Kingston President David Fell says the event offers a chance for the community to learn and take action on sustainability. The expo is supported by local partners committed to reducing carbon emissions in Kingston.
