Help change lives through learning
Kingston Literacy & Skills (KL&S) is calling on the community to support literacy and job training with its new “25 IN 25” fundraising campaign. The initiative encourages residents to set up a $25 monthly donation throughout 2025 to help sustain and expand free education programs.
KL&S, the region’s largest adult training agency since 1977, offers free training in reading, writing, math, digital skills, job preparation, and more. While it receives some government funding, key programs like Care for Newcomer Children (CNC) and Literacy & Basic Skills (LBS) depend on private donations.
Supporters can donate through KL&S’s CanadaHelps page, and one-time contributions are also welcome. Donations made before February 28, 2025, can be applied to 2024 tax deductions.
Every donation helps provide essential education and skills training for individuals looking to improve their lives. More details are available at www.klsread.ca/donate.
