Survey will help form Climate Adaption Plan
Kingston is asking for residents' help in creating its Climate Change Adaptation Plan.
A new survey aims to identify local climate risks and find solutions for a resilient future.
Since December 2023, the city has used the ICLEI’s “Building Adaptative and Resilient Communities (BARC)” framework to guide this effort.
“Shifting weather patterns are impacting our health, environment, and economy,” said Julie Salter-Keane, Manager of Climate Leadership.
Kingston's Adaptation Plan Working Group, including local experts and community partners, emphasizes the importance of community feedback. The survey results will shape actions to protect Kingston from climate change impacts.
