New rail system won't stop in Kingston
Kingston Mayor Brian Paterson isn't mincing words when it comes to his reaction to Kingston being left off the list of stops for the federal government's high speed rail service.
Paterson says he was surprised because discussions with VIA rail were certainly pointing in a different direction.
Paterson says he was told years ago when the project was first rolled out that Kingston would be a hub in the comprehensive re-do of rail in Eastern Ontario.
He says this plan makes no sense at all and is shortsighted.
