Kingston Mourns the loss of wonderful man and talented athlete Troy Wylie

Wylie was the victim in a motorcycle accident

Kingston is grieving the loss of Troy Wylie, 31, who died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident last week. 

The Whig reports that Wylie, a beloved athlete known for his exceptional skills in soccer, football, and hockey, played for the Napanee Raiders and the Deseronto Bulldogs. 

Tributes from friends, family, and the sporting community highlight his kindness, dedication, and positive impact. 

Raiders GM Adam Bramburger praised Wylie for his intelligence, respectfulness, and commitment to the team. 

The Bulldogs also honored Wylie, noting his hard work and selflessness on and off the ice. 

In addition to his sports career, Wylie worked as a mason and taught masonry at St. Lawrence College. 

His father, Pete Wylie, expressed profound shock and gratitude for the outpouring of support and tributes that reflect Troy’s remarkable character and the joy he brought to others.
