Where do you go? What do you do?
This fall, the City of Kingston will launch the “Kingston Moves” Household Travel Survey to gather insights on how residents travel around the city.
The survey is crucial for planning the city’s transportation networks, including roads, transit services, and active transportation infrastructure.
Households will be randomly selected and invited to participate. Invitations with unique access codes will be mailed over the next eight to ten weeks. Participants can complete the survey online or by phone, with a chance to win a $500 cash prize or one of 60 e-gift certificates valued at $25.
Matt Kussin, Manager of Transportation Policy & Programs, highlights the importance of capturing current travel patterns to plan for Kingston’s future. The last survey was conducted in 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. This updated data will help inform the city’s Integrated Mobility Plan.
