In 2023, Kingston’s Climate Leadership division supported 13 grassroots projects through the Neighbourhood Climate Action Champion program.
Residents from various districts developed local projects to help their neighbours reduce their carbon footprint.
Reanna and Jessica lked programs to inspire kids to create positive change. Rohit created a display using real moss to show how it filters the air and captures carbon. Mary-Jean transformed traditional lawns into drought-resistant, pollinator-friendly, low-maintenance gardens.
These projects are just a few examples of how Kingston residents are working together to combat climate change.
