Are asking public for vigilance
Kingston Police are investigating a violent incident on Champlain Avenue after a resident was assaulted on Tuesday evening. Around 7:15 p.m., a resident observed a female suspect committing a property crime and confronted her. The suspect responded by attacking the resident with an edged weapon before fleeing.
Police are actively investigating and request anyone with information or video footage related to the incident to contact them at 613-549-4660. Although no ongoing threat is believed to exist, police urge residents to remain cautious.
The suspect is described as a woman between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 5’1”, with shoulder-length brown hair, and dressed in black clothing. Authorities caution the public not to approach her if seen and to immediately call 9-1-1 instead.
Police continue to gather evidence and encourage community members to report any details that may assist with the case.
