Kingston Police to drivers: Be ready for the first day of school

More than just buses to look out for

It's a busy day for students, parents, and driver as schools across Kingston welcome students for another year.

Police Chief Scott Fraser says the sidewalks and streets will be much busier than they have been for the last 12 weeks or so.

The Chief says that means we need to be incredibly cautious as we hit the road. He suggests you take a little extra time too, just to be on the safe side.

So the Chief and the entirety of the Kingston Police force asks that you be careful as you hit the roads tomorrow.

Watch for kids who can run out from between parked cars, or young cyclists who may be thinking more about seeing some friends for the first time in months, instead of bike safety.
