Kingston residents invited to shape future of Memorial Centre stadium

New Soccer field has sparked conversation

Kingston City Council is exploring plans for a new multi-sport stadium at the Kingston Memorial Centre. Victory Ground Ventures has proposed the project, which could bring a Canadian Premier League and two semi-professional soccer teams to the city.

The stadium would also be open year-round for community sports and events.

A public engagement campaign is underway on the Get Involved Kingston platform. Residents, organizations, and nearby neighbours can share their thoughts until February 28, 2025.

Jennifer Campbell, Commissioner of Community Services, emphasized the importance of community input. "We are committed to a transparent process where every voice is heard."

All feedback will be shared with Council, ensuring the stadium aligns with community needs.
