Police give all clear
Kingston Police responded swiftly to a report of an individual with a weapon inside Kingston Secondary School at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
The school was immediately placed under lockdown as officers worked to assess the situation. Around 12:50 p.m., police located the individual in question within the school. The object initially thought to be a weapon posed no risk to students or staff.
Following the determination that there was no threat, the lockdown was lifted.
Kingston Police confirmed that no criminal charges have been laid in connection with the incident.
