Enjoy the sounds of Respighi, Wagner, Haydn, and Hindemith
The Kingston Symphony Orchestra is continuing their Masterworks series, slowing down a bit this weekend and taking a unique look at the music in a different way.
That was Music Director Evan Mitchell.
He is excited of the Prism concert, not only for the unique take on the music, but it's special place amongst their ongoing series.
The concert will feature select songs from Respighi, Wagner, Haydn, and Hindemith.
For Hindemith, the Flute Sonata was chosen for one particular reason - the Amelia Lyon.
Mitchell said they have wanted to find a way to highlight this incredible flutist, and when she mentioned her love for this piece, they had to make it happen.
Where the Prism comes into play is this piece is meant for the piano and flute, but they were able to take this opportunity to try something new.
