The City of Kingston is inviting all residents to celebrate the unveiling of a new plaque in Riverside Park.
The plaque commemorates the Kingston Ukrainian community and their many contributions to the city.
The tribute, created in collaboration with the Ukrainian Club of Canada, honors the rich history and cultural impact of Ukrainian residents in Kingston.
The unveiling ceremony is set for Saturday, August 24 at 11 a.m. in Riverside Park, near Rideau Street.
The city says the event is a chance for the community to come together and recognize the vibrant Ukrainian heritage that has helped shape Kingston. Everyone is welcome to attend.
