Election Day - What you need to know before you cast your ballot

Voters across Kingston and Ontario are heading to the polls today in a rare winter election, the first of its kind since 1981. Campaigning in freezing temperatures, candidates have braved icy stairs, heavy snowstorms and bitter cold to connect with voters.

Polls are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and voters can find their polling location on their voter identification card. Those without a card can still vote by checking elections.on.ca for details on where to go and what ID to bring.

With key issues at stake, residents are encouraged to make their voices heard.
