City encouraging all residents to take part
Kingston residents can help shape the city’s future by sharing their vision for growth and transportation through a survey open until March 7 on Get Involved Kingston.
The new Official Plan will guide land use, development, and resource protection for the next 25 years. “It sets the framework for sustainable growth that reflects community needs,” said Laura Flaherty, project manager with Planning Services.
For the first time, Kingston’s Official Plan is being developed alongside the Integrated Mobility Plan, which will shape how people move around the city. “This survey is a critical opportunity to guide that vision,” said Matt Kussin, manager of transportation policy and programs.
Public engagement efforts began in 2024 and will continue through pop-up events and advisory groups.
