Kingston Welcomes UNDO

Partnership will Boost Carbon Removal and Support Farming

UK-based company UNDO has launched operations in Kingston, teaming up with Canadian Wollastonite to tackle climate change. As part of the partnership, 50,000 tonnes of wollastonite will be spread on agricultural lands across Ontario.

At a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Mayor Bryan Paterson highlighted the importance of the project for Kingston's sustainability goals. "This partnership aligns with Kingston's commitment to fighting climate change," Paterson said.

Canadian Wollastonite has been researching the carbon-capturing abilities of wollastonite since 2015. Studies show it can remove CO? nearly 10 times faster than other minerals. With UNDO providing the technology to measure carbon capture, this project is expected to significantly reduce carbon emissions.

Kingston's goal of becoming net zero by 2040 is at the heart of this initiative. The partnership is also a boost for the local economy, attracting foreign investment and supporting Ontario’s rural farming communities.
