Rowing for a spot in the medal round
Jenny Casson is another Kingston Olympian we're watching closely at the Paris games.
She's an exercise and sports science major, who trained at U-FIT high performance centre here in town, and who has competed with the Canadian Senior National Team since 2017.
Jenny and her rowing partner received an unofficial invitation to join the Canadian Olympic team when Canada secured a quota spot following the withdrawal of a New Zealand boat from the women's lightweight double sculls event.
She holds world records in dryland rowing and will be competing in the women’s lightweight double sculls semi-finals tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.
