Kingston’s closures and hour changes on New Year's Day

Here's what you need to know

Kingston residents should note several closures on New Year’s Day. 

Administrative offices, including Housing and Social Services, will be closed, along with the Provincial Offences Court at 362 Montreal St. Utilities Kingston and Kingston Hydro will also be closed. For emergencies, contact Utilities Kingston’s 24-hour emergency line at 613-546-1181.

Service Ontario and Canada sites will be closed, as will all provincial and federal services like the post office and LCBO. 

Local libraries, fitness centers, and community centres will also be closed, including all Kingston Frontenac Public Library branches, INVISTA Fitness Centre, Artillery Park Aquatic Centre, Rideau Heights Community Centre, and Kingston East Community Centre. The Kingston Grand Theatre Box Office will remain closed until January 2.

The PumpHouse Museum, Market Wing Cultural Space, and Tett Centre will also be closed through early January. For updated information, residents are encouraged to visit the respective websites of these facilities.
